For creative Michelle Meyers, her Dyad bags are more than just beautiful accessories, they’re gifts from close friends, reminders of colour-filled moments, and companions on shoots, city walks, and creative adventures. In our latest feature, she opens up about what she loves most about her Candy Pink Wave and Black Yui, how she styles them, what she’s always carrying, and the Dyad designs she’s dreaming of next. 1. Tell us a little about yourself
I’m a Cape Town-based creative working in photography and content production. I’ve been in the fashion and advertising industries for over a decade — moved here straight after school and learnt everything on set (with a brief academic cameo at TUKS studying Information Design).

1. What do you love the most about your Wave Bag in Candy Pink and the Yui Bag in Black
Both my Dyad bags were gifted to me on different birthdays by friends I love dearly. Each time I’ve received one it’s been from a person who knows me well, those ‘how did you know?’ gifts. I love how these two bags offer different kinds of balance in my wardrobe, while reminding me of my friends. The pink Wave is playful and unexpected—a burst of bright colour that instantly livens up even a simple outfit without being overwhelming. My black Yui provides a subtle counterpoint with its simplicity, and design—a reliable choice for days when I want something beautiful yet practical.
2. What are your favourite ways to style your Dyad Bags?
With the Candy Pink, I love mixing different colours and prints. I often pair it with vibrant, playful pieces—mixing hues and textures to create a look that's fresh and personal. Creating a look that really reflects my fascination with colour.
The Yui Bag has been a favourite since 2020. I reach for it when I’m heading to events or out on shoots. Its compact size means I can keep my belongings safe while staying mobile, whether I'm moving through busy streets or capturing moments on the go. It’s a reliable piece that works perfectly with any outfit.
3. What is one must-have item that you always carry?
My Dyad bag isn't just a home for my phone and earphones; it's also a sanctuary for a growing collection of receipts. Years in production have trained me to hoard every slip of paper, to the point where I now keep receipts for even the smallest purchases—because you never know when you'll need to prove you bought that pack of gum.
4. Are there any of our other bags on your wishlist and why?
At the moment, I’m really drawn to both the Flora Bag and the Ripple Tote for everyday use. I admire how they manage to be spacious enough for my daily needs while still making a bright statement.
5. Anything new happening in your world you'd like to tell us about?
Right now I’m busy with a secret project that’s been an exciting creative challenge, and on top of that, we are developing a new Sleeper collection. I’m eager to see how these ideas evolve. I look forward to sharing more about these ventures as they take shape—there’s a lot to look forward to, and it’s a great time to be exploring new creative avenues.
